Okey Dokey it's tea interval in the cricket and I'm off to bed - very happy at the cricket - England got 644 a record innings for any nation in Australia and already have 2 Ausie wickets in their 2nd innings - even England can't lose from here - in fact they have to win :j

our local asda cafe stopped doing free top ups quite a while ago - they replaced it with a loyalty card i think

would never eat food from eurest so on a sunday theres a gang of us that drive to our nearest sainsburys - which is a 20 mile trip - have breakfast together in their cafe which can be a lot of fun (and the foods really good quality and not badly priced) then on the drive back from there we call into asda and do the weeks shopping. (I even take the old lady next door cos she doesnt get out much otherwise and it gives her a chance to go shop without needing taxis etc)

What a lovely man you are :D

I only ever put the cricket on if I'm having trouble falling asleep, but I did hear Dickie Bird on the radio yesterday saying that all decisions should be left to the umpire on the pitch and that electronic help (cant remember the name ofthe system? hawkeye possibly?) should be removed from matches.
Well doesnt he talk a load of tosh! Surely the only thing that matters is that a correct decision is reached. Video playback, slow motion or whatever is obviously going to be more accurate and reliable than a persons vision. Its almost like he was defending umpires making bad decisions, he said it was "all part of the game" (cough)ollocks!
If bad decisions are part of the game then I should become one. I'm good at making bad decisions :-)

Ah good old Dickie Bird - I love 'im - he is such a character but very old school, bless 'im. I agree that the right decision is what matters and the new technology such as (yes) hawkeye, hot spot and super-slow motion plus the new referral system do, more often than not, give the right decision, and, if fact, more often than not, confirm the umpires decision. The particular one in question the other day would have been proved in Australia's favour if snicko had also been in use, but the Aussies vetoed it's use for these tests!!! Never mind, controversy in decisions is part of cricket and I love it

We got up at at 12.30 pm (well Mr 3Dogs a bit earlier to bring me my breakfast then take dogs out, of course) and I was gettin ready to go up to a mates to fit her new modem but Mr 3Dogs had twisted his back when he had the dogs out so I'm not going out now. He has a bad back which can go at any time - he injured his back years and years ago and it has troubled him on and off just about all his working life. So we are sitting having a cuppa catching up on the cricket from the tea interval then he is going back to bed with some pain-killers. I will be taking my neighbour for her shopping about 2/2.30 pm

Back from taking my neighbour shopping -and I didn't spend anything so it will be another NSD for me :T Mind you it would be hard to spend anything when I take her shopping as she keeps saying 'if there's anything you want, just pop it in the trolley, I'll get it' or if you look at anything in particular or mention how cheap something is, she is straight in with 'do you want it, I'll get it for you, just pop it in', so I try not to get anything. Mind you she did get 2 extra packets of doggie treats for our dogs when she got a pack for her Misty, so I did accept them

We had a laugh going round the supermarket, as it's only the second time we've done it, with a wheelchair and the special trolley on the front - other customers get in my way at their own risk  I haven't passed my wheelchair/trolley driving licence yet - perhaps I should have L plates on?:rotfl: :rotfl:

I took her little dog out for a little walk when we got back, as I didn't think Mr 3Dogs would manage it later. He was in bed when I got back home, been resting his back, so I'd better get on making the dinner myself tonight then wake him to have that, and see how he is
