Sweetie i am the biggest scardy cat there is. In my first lecturing job (used to teach classes of 150) in a lecture theatre i thought i was funny and entertaining but when i left the students came to see me and say goodbye and one of them let slip that they called me kitten. Nearly bloody died of embarrassment.

Everyone get's scared of appointments. Dont be ok. Focus on happy things. Maybe watch a film or do cupboard tidying. I am tidying all my shopping away in kitchen. it is full of boxes of funny things. John the carpenter is coming to put up headboard and tv stand yay he just rang.

Sometimes I don't either, but I do still owe the money to my creditors for the 12 months the DRO runs, though they can't chase me for it during that time, and it is only at the end of those 12 months (13/1/2012) that the debt is written off

Mr 3Dogs still has to wait to see if the rule change will come into effect in April - they have already made the decision to make the change, so we just have to wait for it to be implemented. Meanwhile, we feel better knowing that we have made offers to his 4 creditors on a pro-rata basis, and that 2 of them have already agreed to the amounts, one has not replied yet, and the other (the troublesome creditor) is still ringing the house and has now asked that I send a duplicate letter as they have no trace of the original. I am saying this now, because they rang this morning and when I explained the stuation, the guy asked me to send the letter again as there is nothing on file about it

Then, this afternoon, I get another call from them, exactly the same of the other, so, after going through security, I asked the lady to check for any notes on the account for today - she read it and said, even though the guy this morning has spoken to me and requested a duplicate letter be sent to them, they would still phone us up and ask for the overdue (in their eyes) payment - I pointed out that we had asked for our telephone number to be removed from their records under the Data Protection Act on many occassions, yet it was still on file and being used. She said that, until account is up to date, they will continue to call because, as creditors, they are fully entitled to have the number and use it. So, having confirmed with her that since I had passed the security questions that the call was now being recorded, I said, as she was getting quite stroppy by then, that, in that case, that I would be reporting them for failing to comply with my request. She then ranted that no matter what we do, they will just keep calling time and time again, day in, day out, because they were fully entitled to do so. I replied that we will now return to not answering their calls in that case

The only reason I had return to answering all calls was my DRO and the offers we had made on Mr 3Dogs' debt. I was looking forward to one of my creditors ringing me so I could quote the DRO to them, but none have :rotfl:So it is back to not answering calls from J*camo - we know the numbers they use, including International or Out of Area, so will ignore them

Susan sorry about the horrid phonecalls. Rotters. It is not worth getting your phone number changed for just one creditor. Why do we call them creditors why not change the name to rotters? When i am Prime Minister i shall change their names.

John the carpenter just left. I have a new tv stand. yay and headboard has been attatched to my bed at last. And it looks cute. The boxes they came in are huge and i will have to keep them in the house till recyclers come in two weeks. I am going to watch telly in my new bed. No studying done at all. Whoops but housey is starting to look like a home again. Need matching curtains and pictures and eventually i will change all the light fittings. All the urgent stuff has been done. Hooray.

Have to prepare two lessons. 6 hours of teaching but cool topics so i dont mind and it hasn't changed too much. Hooray. Will look at 6pm maybe. Want to see that silent witness beanie spoke about, will try catch up first.

3D - good on you for standing up for yourself. Don't answer the b*ggers calls.

I am in debt. I owe some money to holiday club DD was in last summer, and then there is this big mess with the council where I used to live (bailiffs involved :eek:) and also there is really old tax credit overpayment that I am chipping away. Not to mention the personal loan, over draft, solicitor bill, other bill and three credit cards of which five of them I have agreed a FF and I am very close of getting FF for the last one.

I had BR date booked but then BF said he is going to bail me out so he has lent me money to pay the !!!!!!. Now I owe him but a lot less than I did as I have managed to negotiate very reasonable discounts.

I do have to say that me owing money to him is coming between us. Not from his side, from mine. So the sooner I have paid it off the better. Hence being on the frugal challenge. Only frivolous things I will allow this year are to go and see my family during summer hols and in the autum to go and visit Scotland to see a friend. Can't wait. Especially as this is the first year as in for a very very long time when I can even consider having money available for travelling. :j

Well done Marru. You have targets and rewards. That is so organised. I am up here with 4 bags of paperwork. Still sorting it. And cooking stew at the same time!!! disorganised chaos but there is method to this madness somewhere i think.

I wish I was even fraction as organised at home as I am at work but getting there slowly and surely. I have paperwork in several boxes not to mention all the boxes I haven't unpacked never mind all the book boxes I haven't sorted out and sold and it goes on and on and on...

Work much better today thank you as my brain actually was cooperating unlike yesterday. Got loads done. At this rate I am going to be very bored in Friday :rotfl:
