Good. I wish it would stop.

It was worse when Alan did not know the extent of our debts, when I had to make up stories about what the calls were about  or unclick the phone line so the phone did not ring, but then we would get family and friends getting worried when they couldn't get in touch  or when I used to dive to the door when the postman came, and try to hide suspect letters in the hall before Alan saw them

I was just saying the other day to Alan that I couldn't have done what I've done these past few months of staying at Mam's so long, or so often, before he knew abut all the debts, as I was too frightened to go/stay away in case any incriminating letters or calls came

No you have not done anything wrong at all Kit - Nohope asked you a question and you replied - I don't know what they mean by what they have posted, but IMO they are wrong to say it

Hope Steve is talking to you right now on the phone and that your sugars have settled down again hun :A :(

I had a look at the other thread and I must be tired as I didn't understand what was going on. So I shall go and second 3D.

I was supposed to get 4 things done tonight, none of them done :o so perhaps a cup of tea, little bit of news and then do one thing before bed so that I don't feel quite so bad :(

hmmm, just read the thread SW. I think Nohope tried to make a joke, but it came across very badly. She did say she has a very dry sense of humour, and that is not always easy to understand.

The first time I read it, I didn't realise it was supposed to be a friendly joke, so can see why you are confused.

Got a text from my sister at 10 something which she had sent at 6.06 pm  she was down seeing Mam but Mam was not good. My brother had been down to see her at lunch time and she was gurgling but OK, and had ate her lunch alright, but when my sister got there at tea-time, Mam had a bad dose of the runs too, and had refused her dinner The nurse was in talking to my sister for quite some time discussing the situation, saying they had not wanted to give Mam more antibiotics with her now having the runs, but would have to start them in the morning after all as her chest was now so bad

The danger of giving antibiotics repeatedly to an already frail patient, is that the body becomes immune to them, and, when the patient has bowel problems, it greatly increases the risk of them developing clostridium difficile. We know all about this, as Dad went into hospital after a fall 6 years ago, was given repeated courses of antibiotics for chest infection, etc, and next thing we know we were being taken into a side room to be informed that he had contracted clostridium difficile and they could do nothing else for him, so we just had to wait for him dying. CD is second only to MRSA as a killer in hospitals these days :(

Anyway, my sister is going down to see Mam in the morning before she goes to work and will let me know how things are then, so I can only wait and see

I've been chatting to Steve on the phone :j :j :j :j but am off to bed now as I have to get up relatively early in the morning

Night Night everyone - hope tomorrow brings good news and everyone has a good day
