Avanquest is clearing its 2010 Family Tree maker for just £24 + £2.50 postage. Comes with 6 months ancestry.co.uk - which costs tons more than this. IF you have (as we do) world membership then ancestry will, for reasons unknown, upgrade you to world & extend by 6 months :)

Just via this link
http://web.avanquest.com/Web_Pages/DESTOCKAGE_48/UK/index_RE.html#pcSoft

Don't forget to go through topcashback for it possibly at 30% off - making it less than £19!!!!

6 months ancestry essentials alone would cost you £10.95 x6 = £65.70 PLUS you get the great software to download easily your completed tree. BEWARE though it's addictive! If you have world this is normally £18.95 per month or £113.70 so this could save you around £94 over 6 months.:T

There are also LOTS more clearance items available - 1st come 1st served - from games to PC software. Far too many to list.

    Thanks OP, I've ordered.

As a side note, here's some freebies. Those of you who are doing US research you might find these US newspaper archives of interest: http://news.google.com/newspapers (it does show the newspaper images). The Australia ones are here: http://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper

In the UK the British Library have digitalised the UK newspaper archives. You can access these for free via a university or if you live in Wales through the National Library of Wales' ATHENS. (Otherwise accessible at cost, http://newspapers.bl.uk/blcs/)

2011 version also with 6 months is available at £29.99 delivered all in at Amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/Family-Tree-Maker-2011-Platinum/dp/B003S3RLLW
  • Woohoo - It's just arrived and they have sent the 2011 version. Topcashback is tracking at £5.35.
Not bad for an extra 6 months worldwide on ancestry!
  • Another option is to use £19 of Tesco vouchers, which also gets you the same version of Family Tree Maker and 6 months ancestry, I just wish you could activate the subscription with out installing the software (as I use Family Historian and have no intention of changing).
