Oh that's a cracker, Spoon, love it!

    Good morning all,

I'm a wee bit later today, had a bit of grocery shopping to do so decided to get an early start. It was minus 2c when I left, a bit chilly to say the least!
I was very prudent and stuck to my list, and by shopping between FF, LID£ and A$da, I shaved £8 off my list on my Supermkt. I put my usual weekly savings away and had to buy a giftcard for GS1 birthday on the 25th - which also happens to be Burns Night - get ready ! Here's a wee taster of what to expect - think of it as a warm up!

    Have a lovely day everyone:)

PS - I was joking about the prize............sorry:o

Love the hat Spoon - a little too flamboyant for me, but then I don't "do" hats (other than my black woolly one for walking around shops, walking the dog, walking to/from work etc) ;) Did wonder who would be the first person to go looking after my 'temptation' post :rotfl:

Just checked bank account, and nothing out since 17th. Means yesterday was NSD #7 :T

Going to be spending either today or tomorrow as I need some bits in for the weekend..... just not decided what I'm cooking on Saturday or Sunday yet, so not sure what I need. Suppose I'd best come up with some ideas and bounce them off him to see if he eats them ;)

Still need to fill the car with liquid gold too, so will combine that with a trip to the tip. I've got at least 4 sacks of cardboard to get rid of (keep filling empty 12kg dog food sacks with the stuff until it's worth my while going up there) and some tetra packs as well. The council don't collect either of these things in our recycling bins, and I refuse to put them in general rubbish when I can sort and take to a collection point for them to be recycled. Must remember to take all my foil dishes to DD's on Sunday, as her council collects them for recycling while mine doesn't even have a collection point for them

Only bought the train ticket for uni yesterday (they've put the prices up AGAIN... I knew we'd get a new year hike, which we did, but not another one since LAST WEEK!!), and went out for supper but Mr Lotti paid! :j

    So I can declare 7/10 :)

  • i do keep wondering which will be the string to snap first, us public or the companies hiking the cost of everything up.

i havent added a goal for NSD's, as i came back to MSE yesterday however yesterday was an NSD for me and i would like another 6 before the end of Jan

    :money:
DFW - Debt Free Date July 2013, LBM Oct 2011

    Total Debt Sept 2011 £23,708.39
    Paid so far £2,383.91 :money:
    Current Debt £21,560.56

  • Did have a strategic NSD planned for today (asked OH to get bread on his way home from work this morning).... until I had to take the car in to get the brakes checked :o

The good news is that they have just called and they can't find anything wrong, and theres about another 5k miles on it, so at least it will be cheaper than I thought! :)

Glad you like the hat, jinty, I think it's big enough to obscure quite a few views:D

Well even if there were a prize, I wouldn't be getting it:D

Morning all! No NSD for me yesterday, hubby and I went out for his work Christmas thing which was lovely, and whilst that was all paid for I had to pay £12 train fair to get there and I bought a cup of tea at the station on the way back :-)

Today should be an NSD though, hopefully making 8 in total now I think...DS has a school disco tonight but I have kept the money aside from the start of the week when I was having a spend day- I think im right in thinking I can count it as an NSD?!

    Have a good day everyone!

Hope you had a lovely time, bella, how was the new outfit?

If you put the money aside earlier in the week, haven't spent anything else today and it doesn't break your own rules then, yes, you can have an NSD:j:j
