Security Shield virus - help needed with hijackthis log!!!

Until I ran my mum's laptop in Safe Mode, we were unable to run any Malware Bytes, Hijack This, etc.

Did a quick scan using Malware Bytes and it found 5 infected items (which it also fixed). I realise we will need to do a Full Scan later.

In the meantime, can anyone have a look at the following Hijack This logfile? Help, advice, etc welcomed!!!

If you don't know what an item is then google it and find out if it's something you need. We don't know what items you want to keep/use. I would get rid of the toolbarse but you may want to keep one.
You can start by using ccleaner/tools/startup and disabling everything except a/v, wireless,firewall, touchpad -just basics.This is easily reversed .

Thanks - it's a Dell so there's load of stuff installed on it!!!

Plus it's my mum's laptop - I'm guessing that overtime she has added more and more stuff. Will have a look through and see what can be disabled.

I haven't had a dell but just because it's made/assembled by dell does not mean that you have to use any dell software! Try using ccleaner to stop some things running automatically and update malwarebytes and run a full scan sooner rather than later.

Agreed - if it was my laptop I probably would have removed a lot of the stuff. Looks like a task for tomorrow afternoon!
