Skechers boots - falling apart, can I return?

I bought some Skechers Shape Up Boots in March from Javari, I wore them for 2weeks then (not daily) then not again til October (too hot for summer) I've probably worn them twice a week til December & not since due to snow.
They are in really good condition all over except the seam up the back of one has opened 1inch. Is this wear & tear, or bad stitching? They are made from same 'Ugg style' sheepskin. The rest of the boots have no visable wear, even the sole is intact (little grip bumps etc) so not worn in all over.
Am i fair to/ can I return? They cost £99.99, but have been on sale for £150+ on most websites.
I would like an exchange, but they don't have any more on website.
I want to be a moneysaver & stand up for my rights, but at the same time not take advantage?
TIA

I don't know where the law stands but I'd say they were not fit for purpose, at that price I'd expect better!
Have you contacted Amazon/Javari to enquire? Amazon are normally very good with customer service so they should be able to point you in the right direction if not deal with the query, but wait until Tuesday as its a bank holiday weekend and they may not be open.0 -
