Hi, we ordered a new 3 piece suite from a local retailer, this was delivered recently, on examination we found that the setee was poorly made, and have complained to the retailer, providing him with photos of the defects. We are awaiting a reply from the retailer. My query is, as we paid by Mastercard, do we inform them that there is an ongoing dispute, and in fact are they liable?.

You should try to sort it out with the retailer first, but yes they are jointly liable if the item was > £1000
