You may have upgraded your telly to an HD Ready model and be watching your standard DVDs in near high-definition through your upscaling DVD player, but have you thought about hi-def video footage?
Sony's HDR-HC3 is an HD camcorder that is small enough to fit in your jacket pocket. It resembles a typical high-end consumer DV camcorder and has the ability to record 1080i HD video in HDV format, although it also supports standard-definition MiniDV video. It incorporates Sony's new 2-megapixel ClearVid CMOS sensor and a Carl Zeiss lens, and it boasts a whole host of outputs -- HDMI, component video and i.LINK.
The video quality is a huge step up from the best DV camcorders on the market, and you'll be able to capture sharp 4-megapixel still images with decent colour. If you want crystal clear holiday footage, or are wanting to produce your own award-winning short films, the Sony HDR-HC3 is a great contender to enter HD camcorder market.
We've got a Sony HDR-HC3 to give away to one lucky budding filmmaker. All you have to do is answer the question in the purple box above…
What lens does the Sony HDR-HC3 feature?
Answer: Carl Zeiss
Good Luck
