I wonder if you all know that Debenhams are not giving refunds on 50% or 70% reductions! You can have goods in exchange or a gift card. The only exception to this I found out is if you have a Debenhams card. Then you get refunded. I only had to £9 worth so good thing I did not spend £3oo!! I was told company policy and after I asked where it said all this it is on the BACK of the receipt!! Debenhams!!! you have just lost a good customer.!! Good thing NEXT and MARKS do not behave like this.

Actually most shops have a sale disclaimer which says sales goods won't be refunded and they usually add that this does not affect your statutory rights. This means they have to replace or refund if there is something wrong with the goods, but not if you simply change your mind. The notice is usually at the till.0

Yep Next and Marks are exceptions rather than rules and a good friend who works for Next says they're considering adopting Debenhams stance next year due to the workload that sales returns creates. It's normal practice.

i was worried something like that would happen when I did all my shopping in the sales so I annoyed every single sales assistant by asking can we refund any unsuitable items - thankfully I was able to, but boo to Debenhams for not!!Life is what you make it.0

I dont like them they lost half of my wedding order ! well cancelled it didn't tell me. I ended up being the crazy bride the day before running around town begging shop assistants to help me get things in the shop .0
