Does anybody know what company makes Marks and Spencer and John Lewis sofas?

they dont use one single supplier.
their usual suppliers are strictly trade only. and dont sell to the public.
some products are designed/made for MS etc... only. so you never see them anywhere else.

Thanks - apart from Sofa Sofa are there any other sofa factories/outlets in South Wales, I have heard there are some in Bridgend?

Westbridge Furniture Designs make 100% of M&S upholstery and 60% of Nexts.

The parent company is Belfield Furnishings in Ilkeston and they now own Deeside furniture (there used to be 2 warehouses open to the public in Flint but the website does not mention them).

The above website mentions 2x outlets. We visited the one in Stoke which stocks cancelled orders which have come direct from the factory (the other site in Birkenhead stocks items that have been delivered and returned by customers and also seconds).

The Stoke site is well worth a visit. Every item is 50% of the catalogue price. They have the current catalogue there.

There are approx 30 suites on display probably more but there is also a warehouse at the back. They sat they have 900 pieces in stock.

Despite the guys there not looking like your usual furniture sales assistant I have to say it was the most helpful shopping experience we have ever had.

We werent sure what shape and colour we wanted. He suggested we wander round and if there is anything we like the shape of he would be able to advise what other colours are in stock. He left us to our own devices but kept returning with other suggestions/combinations. He suggested one which was in the warehouse and took us to look at it (although it was all wrapped up). he could not have been more helpful.

They did charge 40.00 for delivery (we live 50 miles away) and took our wrecked sofa away for a tenner. The guys arrived at 0830 the next morning.

If you know what you want, phone them up and they will tell you what they have (what may be coming in)

There are several otehr places that sell cheap M&S furniture but it always seems to be 2nds from what I can make out
