Hi, am looking to make a HY portfolio. I have a few questions.
1. Are there any websites that tell me which companies give out dividends.
2. How often do companies give out dividends?
3. Is the more shares you buy, the bigger the dividends payment?

1. Yes. https://www.digitallook.com
2. Varies company by company. Some are quarterly, some half-yearly, some annually.
3. Yes. You get a dividend per share. So if you the rate is 1p per share, and you own 1000 shares, you get £10.I'm an Investment Manager. Any comments I make on this board should be not be construed as advice, and are for general information purposes only.0 -

If you look at a company, then go Financials>Dividends, the historic divis are there. Most companies pay about the same time every year. If you look at Company Diary, it gives you the ex-div and payment dates for the current week.I'm an Investment Manager. 1. Try: https://www.itpaysdividends.co.uk
2&3 - already answered.
NOTE: Be wary of some shares with very high dividend yields - often this is because the company has recently issued profit warnings, or worse.

I suggest you keep an eye on the High Yield Portfolio board on the Motley Fool if you are looking into this.
