Santander Lost Card

My latest experience with my favourite bank:rotfl:

I have lost my card so phoned to get it reissued:

- Hi I've lost my card and I need a new one.
- No problem, can I have your card number please?
- Errr No, cause I've lost it!!

  • Not as silly a question as it may first appear, some weird people do keep note of them, but probably asked in error by an advisor half switched off from dealing with angry customers all day! :rotfl:

    Just take in a copy of your passport/driving license and a recent utility bill to the counter, they will not issue one right there and then or discuss the particulars of the account but you will get a replacement in the mail a few days or so later :)

  • make sure the branch DOES issue it as i had lost my card and took 3 visits to a branch to get it re-issued
    apparantly it doesn't appear on their system
  • im still waiting for 2 cards issued near xmas time to turn up.....

    I'm one of these "weird people" who have my card numbers stored in a password-protected file on my computer. Weird to you seems sensible to me.
