Any experts with Netgear WG102 Wireless Extender Please?

Bit of an obscure question (well it is to me)

I have a WG102 extender which works great with my laptop connecting me back through the house to my BT Home Hub and arriving here, among other places.

I was given a Kodakpulse digital frame for Xmas and I have got this to work well when in range of the BT Home Hub, it finds the hub and makes the wireless connection without any issues.

However, we want to place the frame outside of the HHub range but well within the range of the wireless extender. I must admit a friend set up the WG102 and I have never really understood its relationship technically to the HHub it works every time on the laptop and that been fine.

I have tried loads and loads of combinations but the frame simply doesn't see the extender.

The SSID is NETGEAR-0 (tried this with and without spaces between the hyphen)

Have logged the MAC address of the frame to be a trusted address on the extender but not sure if I need to do anything with it now its registered.

Have used both the HHub WPA security code plus one I found in some notes my friend left.

Tried "hard coding" the default gateway address on the frame.

Plus lots and lots of other guesses.

If anyone give me a few more avenues to explore I would be very grateful.

Thanks Tony

try deleting the HHub connection details from the frame, then setting up a fresh connection to the extender. It may be a case of the frame can only hold one connection's details, as opposed to windows holding many..

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple :D

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried it but no differerence. Since I posted I have tried connecting a couple of my friends smart phones and both found the WG102 immediately. Connected with no problem once I entered the WPA passkey. Very frustrating!
