You may need to update your applications.

After I updated to 2.2 (was a few days ago though), I had to update a number of applications.

Mine was updated over a week ago.

Several apps registered updating and battery life seems to be better.

Angry Birds works on my wildfire, both before and after the update. It's a bit laggy on some levels but otherwise is fine

well i'm on the three network no updates there so just checked main htc wildwire support downloads and still listing android 2.1 not the 2.2 so was wondering where you are getting info from and where getting files to run it from cos from where i'm checking htc still not supporting 2.2 for the wildfire?

    http://www.htc.com/uk/supportdownloadlist.aspx?p_id=316&act=sd&cat=all

also already tried checking for updates thru phone and says is upto date and still running 2.1 and also on wifi but still no joy or is this update network limited i see on google vodaphone kicking it out but no announcement for the other networks that i can see?

    vodaphone info http://www.techradar.com/news/phone-and-communications/mobile-phones/vodafone-whips-out-htc-wildfire-android-2-2-update-in-record-time-916775

    tmobile info http://www.techradar.com/news/phone-and-communications/mobile-phones/t-mobile-starts-htc-wildfire-android-2-2-update-916976

info from the tmobile story looks like three still havent confirmed they will kick it out bloomin three dragging there heels again just wish could pick file directly up from the htc website and chuck it on that way would make life so much easier!

    Mines on T-Mobile.

3 may be delaying it because the Wi-Fi hotspot app may affect their Mi-Fi sales. Or maybe they are looking to not include the Wi-Fi hotspot app, who knows?

There are ways to get it by rooting the phone. Not done it myself but the instructions can be found, but bricking the phone is also a remote possibility.

My Desire HD can do "hot spots" and i'm on "3".
If the phone came unbranded then you'll get all updates from HTC,
If it was branded you'll have to wait for your network to push them to you.
