additional card holder transfers?

I am the additional card holder on my husbands credit card, but it is me that handles the budget and bills (big mistake!)> We have over £3000 on a credit card and at moment are managing to pay back £100 a month. I want to transfer to a 0% credit card will I be able to to it as additional card holder or would my husband have to do it in order to transfer the balance?

Whose card do you want to transfer the money to? If it is yours, then you simply provide the number of your husband's card or account to the company that you are transferring to and they will do the rest. Why don't you just ask him for his card?

If the transfer is to another card held in your husband's name, then why not do it online? Again you will need to provide his current card number or account number to the company that you want to transfer the debt do.

I am of course assuming that your husband is aware of the position you are in and is in agreement.....
  • Your Husband: Primary Card Holder
    You: Secondary Card holder

You can apply for a credit card in your name (whether you want your Husband as a Secondary cardholder is entirely up to you) and give your Husband's Card Details (in theory you card should have the exact same details!!!)
