How to edit settings on MSE

Hi all
Could someone tell me how I can change my settings so that I will be notified of any new PMs as well as forum posts in threads I've contributed to. I already get the latter, but never seem to get an email to let me know when there's a PM. I can't seem to find the settings to change this, although I'm sure it's a simple thing. Many thanks! And a happy new year to all.

click 'User CP' at the top
on the left select 'edit options'
