TV Recce...

Hi all,
It's that time of year and I need a new TV (for the MSE puritans, my current 21" CRT Flat Screen TV has developed 2 palm sized greenish-blue patches and an intermittent boom; good service for 6 years though :D).

I would like an LCD TV, don't want a plasma (personal preference). I'd like to future-proof myself as I don't want to change TV for another 6 years!

Would like at least 40" screen size and 100Hz frame rate (want to avoid any blurring as I'm a sports fan - tennis and football).

Not too fussed about edge LED, good to have if overall picture quality and build quality not suspect. Sound is lower down the scale of preference.

And of course, the budget - £500 max.

10Q all!
Tough times never last longer than tough people.
