Hi, i just wondered if anyone knows how to get rid of the pop up box (which contains the first post) that appears when you run your mouse over a thread title.

I know I am asking for the reply 'don't run your mouse over the thread title!' but I find it really annoying and couldn't find it under edit options.

If you are using Firefox, then I think you can.......

Enter about:config in the address bar.

Find the option browser.chrome.toolbar_tips

Set that to false.

Seems to work.

Not sure what other functionality that might also disable though?

I am using google chrome - and can't find the option you mentioned, will try again a bit later.

Well, from a quick 'Google', all I can find is a lot of people complaining that they also can't turn off various tooltips in Chrome?

So I don't think the option exists.

I like Chrome, and would use it as my main browser if I could, but it's just this sort of lack of ways for the user to tweak it that keeps me with Firefox for now.
