Where can I hire a roof box

Hi

I'm going skiing and need to get a roof box for the week. Does anyone know of any hire places that deliver to Norfolk? We've found some but they only deliver down south. Alternatively, any other suggestions for getting one that isn't too expensive? Same applies for roof bars - we've found some online for £150 (they're for a golf, mk5 2004).

Ikea used to do a thing whereby you can buy roofbars there then take them back within quite a long timespan for a refund. Try freecycle and ebay for secondhand bars and boxes. Can you not borrow one off someone? Its the kind of thing many people have sitting in their garage to use once a year.

Ebay - buy both second hand on Ebay, then once you've returned, sell them again. If you buy well, you could end up making money.

What about soft roof bars? Cheap and popular with surfers so I'm sure they'd work with skis. They come in various sizes.

Thanks for your replies.
We've had a look at your suggestions - Ikea don't seem to do them any more as couldn't see anything on their website. We are currently watching some on ebay but any other thoughts gratefully recieved.
We need it more for luggage - there's only 1 snowboard to fit in but then our bags will have to go up there too, so we do need something fairly robust.
