letter from abbey

got a letter from abbey/santander today basically saying they have wrote to the court requesting the claim be struck out, unless i file an amended claim with a properly verified statement of truth within 6 weeks.
excuse my lack of knowledge but what do they mean by verified statement of truth?
i am thinking it is not worth the hassle of amending the claim as the chances of success in claiming are almost non existent no matter what argument is used.
what are other peoples thoughts?

Got one exactly like yours Alliance & Leicester/ Santander.... I've no idea what to do, am also thinking on the same line as you, hope someone can offer us some guidance....0 -
I too received same letter; feels unjust that after all this time we are expected to just roll over and give up.
These charges have contributed to me having a DMP for last 3 years, so the Bank is laughing as it is still getting money back from me.0 -
Hello there.
I also received a letter today from Alliance & Leicester/Santander stating that they have requested that the court considers making "an Unless Order" in respect of my claim. Which basically means unless I do something now my case will be closed.
Don't quite know what I have to do yet but I AM NOT GIVING UP ON THIS WITHOUT A FIGHT!0 -
Remember that banks try to wriggle out of anything that they can and employ people to legally do this for them. If you do nothing they will have won and saved themselves some money. Reply to every letter, keep copies and see someone legal about what to do next.0

Please don't hi-jack someone else's thread, as it's not fair on the OP.
You have your own thread here to discuss this matter

the way i see it no matter what i do the banks are never going to pay out now, this whole reclaim thing has been a waste of time since the cases were put on hold a few years back.
since the country went in to recession there was no way the banks were going to be forced to pay back money for bank charges.
the banks are a law to themselves just look at the way they continue to pay massive bonus's to the city bankers despite owing the government.
over the years i have paid a fair old sum out in charges but thankfully i am no longer in financial hardship after i managed to repay overdraft and close the abbey account,it would be nice to get a pay out but i am not in a position where i am missing it so have decided not to bother persuing it any longer.
good luck to anyone who does decide to carry on with the fight.0
