British Gas Help!

Right guys/gals i still live with my mum and we have a meter!

About a year ago the electricity went so i went to the shop and put a tenner on the card come back and put it in, the meter did'nt take it so went to the shop 3 more times and tried 4 different cards none worked so we rang them and they come out and put a box in (not a pre pay meter) and said you will get free electricity just ring up on monday to sort out geting a new meter in so we did, they said they could only get out in a few weeks, no one come and we have been trying for over a year to get someone out (i know what you are thinking over a year i know takeing the p) anyway nobody has been out to read the meter my mum got a bill last week for over £700 she has rung cs and they keep saying the same thing someone will be round in a few days nobody come!

We still have 4 cards here with £40 on them

Can anyone help please?

    Call them back now and demand to speak to a managerwould be my advise. All the eople on the shop floor can do is book an appointment and move on, the customer liason department will proactively monitor the account for you until the proplem is resolved.

    I would not bother ringing as they'll do nothing. Put it all down in writting and with dates, names, etc and send it to the manager or customer services at head office.

    Also state what action you want and by what date. Try to be realistic and polite in the letter (even thow after 12 months you have no right to be) other wise you won't get anywhere.
