NEXT - Home Delivery Mingers!

Got to share this. Ordered an outfit for New Years Eve from Next online. Delivered to me this morning by a couple of smoking mingers in a car full of fag smoke. The girl who brought it to my door even had a fag in her hand.

Gross! This is soooo minging, it's going back as it stinks. Yuk and puke, this is the first and last time I use Next!

If they are using the car for business purposes and smoking in it, they are breaching the smoking ban (and I'd bet they don't have business insurance on the car either).

I do believe that some companies sub-contract their deliveries using private cars. I *think* DHL is one of them as I recall getting a package from Toys R Us delivered by an anonymous looking woman in an estate car. I've also seen a friend get an M&S order delivered by the same means.

It's not strictly the fault of Next but they choose the cheapest company to deliver their goods and it's up to them to ensure that their name isn't being tarnished by the delivery company so I'd be letting them know in writing (or email) what has happened, not so that you can get compo but so that they know what service they're paying for.

complain. Next are very heavy handed with their couriers. my one got sacked recently after ppl complained she threw their parcels over their side gate. she foned me and asked me if it was OK to do as Next had told her off about the complaints.

they'll probs refund the p&p and replace if the clothes smell aswell.

As caz2703 said, some delivery companies are employing individuals to make deliveries for them. DHL at Home is one such service. So anyone can work for them, using their own car. It's a pain in the rear end because if you're not home to take delivery you have to arrange a new time with the person. I'd much rather just go to a depot to pick a parcel up than try and fit in around the delivery driver's personal schedule!

Mine used to get delivered by an 8 year old, in his school uniform, whilst his mother also sucked away on a fag in the car. It wasn't a one off, it was every single delivery from Next.

Iv had similar, and on the estate I live on I was almost scared to open the door to the fully pink tracksuited woman puffing her way down my path. Wasnt impressed as she breathed a load of fag smoke all over my new baby, as she handed over my package.

That is disgusting... nothing worse than stuff that smells of cigarette smoke.

Scary Wife had some stuffed delivered by a lovely lady before Xmas. I did ask her in, but she ran down the path very quickly. I put it down to her schedule
