Hotpoint - shocking customer service

Options
My cooker decided to break down on 22nd December (great, 2 days before xmas..). I have a maintenance contract on it so put a call through for an engineer. Was told the first date they could get here would be 7th Jan which I advised them was not good enough. They rang back and offered 31st December which I accepted as it was better than nothing.
Had a phone call on xmas eve to say engineer ill and it would now be 6th Jan (how do they know the engineer will still be ill in a week).
Had a miserable xmas trying to cook dinner on a very small camping cooker and had a call on boxing day from them saying it would now be 11th Jan. Told them it was not good enough and I wanted someone here sooner. I asked the girl what she would have done in this circumstance and she said "sent my hubby out to buy a new cooker", I was astounded, firstly I cannot afford to just buy a new cooker (disabled and on DLA) and secondly why should I when its less than 3yrs old and I have a maintenace contract on it.
I have now been left waiting until the 4th Jan when hopefully their management will be back and can sort something out for me.

What an awful company, 2-3 weeks to wait when I have no cooker is just not on and the attitude from the staff STINKS.

Why? Because they are justifiably upset and annoyed by the poor service they have received? They are paying for maintenance and so far not getting it. It's Hotpoint that keep phoning them up to change the date.
