Failed credit check for the first time

For info I've currently got a mortgage, a few credit cards which are up to date (backed up by Experian report) & another mobile phone contract which I’ve had for years.
Also, whilst I think about it, you mention the credit you already have. It might be worth checking the total amount of credit available to you (mortgage + c/c limit #1 + c/c limit #2 etc), and how much of it you're currently using...then compare that to your earnings. Many companies have been known to refuse credit on the basis that your 'income:debt' ratio and 'income:available credit' ratios are too high already.Mortgage-Free WannabeMortgage at start [20/6/12]: £151,800/MFD Jun 2035 (age 65)Mortgage now [5/11/14]: £139,212.14/MFD Oct 2029 (age 59)Personal Library 2014:starmod: Read in 2014: 57/60 :starmod: In Progress: 2 :starmod: Books In: 94 :starmod: Books Out: 12 :starmod: TBR: 847 :starmod:0 -
