I'm doing a PGCE post-compulsory next year and I have a choice of 3 uni's - Oxford Brookes, Reading ro UCE to choose from.
I picked these because of locality and ease of getting to from Leamington. But I want to know which is the best one to go for - I s there anyone here who goes to any of these??
Sort of money saving - cos UCE is the cheapest to get to and that's the way I'm leaning toawrds at the mo'. But Just want to know whether there are any bad things there I need to know about???

I'm a first year undergraduate at the University of Reading and I can highly reccommend it - there's a great atmosphere, the campus is very green and is close enough to the town centre for convenience.
The buildings and facilities are excellent... the only downsides I can think of are the fact that bus travel around Reading is £1.50 single or £2.50 return (very expensive in my opinion), but on the upside it's close to London and the nightlife is really good.
Hope this helps you!!0 -
I go to Brunel in Uxbridge, one of my friends went to Reading and she loved it. Went up there a couple of times for some partys which were good fun. I cant say anything about what its like to study there, but the social side is great. Plus like techno_geek says its close to London!!
I only know one person who went to Oxford brookes, they hated it and left within three months.
Good luck with your course, and hope this helps

Well I won't be moving there cos I'm a matire student with kids - hence I need to look into travel times etc.
The only problem with Reading is that I think I have to do my placement on-site, whereas UCE try and get me a placement(3 days a week) as close to my home location as possible.Noli nothis permittere te terere
