Is this a webmail account, or do you use a client to access them?

What is the exact error message you are getting?

See THIS FIX from the AOL Answers site.

  • Have you run the registry cleaner in CCLEANER?

yes i ugraded it and run it as well
  • Jewls, you are apparently not alone in having this problem. It appears that using a client (Thunderbird) is the only way to ensure continued access to the servers. You will also have the added bonus of having a copy of your emails stored on your computer in case you need to view them offline. This will be in addition to having them stored on the AOL servers.

Glad you got it sorted, but seems bizzarre to me that if your business is dependent on regular email access that you would rely on a webmail account rather than a desktop email program?

  • Desktop is also known as a client. That's what Thunderbird / Outlook etc are. It's simply software that will allow you to remotely connect to a mail server and display the messages.

It means that your email is stored on your own PC and not on someones else's server.
