well thats your view but you are wrong
if a buyer pays for 2 separate auctions and you charge as 2 separate items
then they should be dispatched as two separate items
if your buyer issued a chargeback on both items through their card issuer
how would you defend that with one proof of posting?
even more so with tracked deliveries
if the buyer files an item not received dispute. how do you defend that with only one tracking number?

Look, it's very nice for you that you feel superior enough to criticise people you don't know - but who you do know are having difficult times - in a support forum.

However, I have not broken any Ebay rules; posting two packages on the same day to the same address would be absurd; I can't think of a single dispute that would be affected by two items being packaged together; and it is evident from your post, that you can't either.

Now, since this is a support forum, and you are for some reason turning into a two-person discussion about a moral issue that has nothing to do with the thread topic, why don't you PM me if you wish to continue this finger-wagging? I won't read it, but nor will anyone else have to.

Alternatively, start a moral maze thread in a different forum.

    its not criticising
its preventing the usual threads that appear after a dispute/chargeback is filed

    you made the statement
There's nothing to say I can't wrap and send items together if the same person buys them.

however I have pointed out the pitfalls of such an action
there is attitude here, unfortunately the person with it seems in denial
but who you do know are having difficult times - in a support forum.

so losing their items and having to refund would make it easier?

So glad to have found this thread - full of lots of helpful stuff as well as some ahem..."interesting" discussions;)

Anyway I posted my first ever item on Ebay about 5 weeks ago and am now addicited! I had piles of stuff lying round the house that for years I have been saying "I'll ebay that!" but had no real idea how to go about it.
Well after taking the plunge we have now sold over £285 :T(excluding postage) - £180 really belongs to hubby as it was some of his golf stuff:rotfl:
So i have set myself a wee target of £350 by xmas, although am already 3rd of the way there as I start to get down to the dross then i know I wont get the higher prices and it will be a bit more hard work
Anyone else working towards a target for 2011?
    CC debt Aug 2018 £50.2K
    CC debt Nov 2018 £48.6K
  • Come on, where is everyone? I've been a bit AWOL myself but am now back with a vengeance, debt has gone up A LOT so need to get back to this challenge.

Listed quite a bit on the last free listing weekend and sold a few things so was rather pleased, have some more stuff listed, some finishing tonight but only got bids of 99p on a couple. Going to try and list a few things every day starting from tomorrow. Need to have a good sort out of my boxes in my office and see what is in there to get listed.

Am not making the same mistake this year as last year and looking at the Grabbit Board and buying lots of stuff because it's cheap, I am not going to buy any Xmas presents until December, I normally buy far too much for my girls and still have some big items under the stairs which I bought last year to get listed on Ebay - a wooden castle and wooden farm (can't remember what else).

Will be glad when the kids are back at school on Monday (feel sorry for them though as I used to hate going to school and DD2 cries every day when I take her as she is very shy, luckily she has the same teacher who is lovely and the perfect teacher for her).

So who else is going to get lots listed. I'm thinking of opening another Paypal account for my Personal items as it all goes into one account at the moment and most of that is business which I have to withdraw a few times a week so want to get another account to keep the personal stuff separate just to pay off the debt so I know where I am. Am I allowed two Paypal accounts if I use a different bank account?

Anyway, sorry to waffle on, it used to be great when we all used to try and beat mrscmr to the number of listings we could do so am sad that she is not around anymore.

Bye for now (a really motivated TMD)

  • Hi Starnac

I am fine thanks, can't wait for the kids to go back to school although won't like having to get up at 7.30am every day again, been lazy the last 3 weeks. DD3 starts at Nursery on 5 October so am looking forward to having 5 afternoons to myself to get on.

    How are things with you?

I can't get Turbolister so have to do things the long way, can't get into my settings on this computer so can't download Turbolister as it asks for a password as I put myself down as the Administrator when I should have put both of us really.

I think I have 22 listings on so far although some are finishing soon so will have to relist what doesn't sell, can't do much when the kids are around as they will want to keep stuff and I just want rid of it all.

wow purpleroses well done. that is quite an achievement. bet you have hardly anything left in your house now!!!!! :D

TMD i couldn't list without turbolister. It's bad enough with it never mind without it. you must be looking forward to DD3 going to nursery and having some time to yourself. my DD is going to primary 5 mornings a week now from next wednesday. i'll only have a couple of weeks to myself until baby is born though. i'm planning on getting a lot of things ebay-ed before baby comes though as not sure how much time/energy i'll have after

  • Hi Purpleroses

That is great that you have made £2k this year, it's great to know that people are still Ebaying, the thread went a bit quiet for a while even I was concentrating on Business stuff more than personal but every bit helps and it's great when the Paypal balance goes up.
