Hi
Could someone tell me how to retract a buyer's bid please? Someone has asked me to do this as she had bid ona toy that she thought was free postage but it was actually collection only & she has asked if I could retract her bid for her but I don't know how to! Many thanks.Grocery aim £450pm.Spent £519 August, £584 July, £544 June, £541 May, £549 April, £517 March, £517 Feb,£555 Jan, £573 Dec, £465Nov, £561Oct, £493Sept, £426Aug,£496 Jul, £528Jun, £506May,£498April, £558 March, £500Feb, £500 Jan, £490 Dec, £555 Nov,£566 Oct, £505Sept, £450Aug, £410 July, £437 June, £491 May, £471 April, £440 March, £552Feb, £462Jan0 -

Wow sounds like some of your are really motoring through things on ebay!
I'm having a break this week, wasn't well enough on Sunday to do any listing, hoping to get back on the bandwagon this weekend though and list another 5-10 items (can't cope packaging and posting wise otherwise!).
I've finally got my name changed on paypal ( 4 1/2 years after getting married) so I can get the money out of paypal now, it was ok until I changed the account my paypal was linked from my old pre-wedding one to our joint account without realising the surname issue - was so easy to sort out just a scan and submit of a couple of documents but yet I'd waited ages to do it. Glad I can finally get some of the money out now!Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

Quick question - my mum has been given 3 silver jubilee t shirts to sell from my grandparents - she was going to put it on ebay but Im not sure if thats the best place for it - Ive tried googling more specific collectors for this type of stuff but had no luck -can I ask everyones thoughts?Life is what you make it.0

GinnyGee - I've sold some things on Ebay by setting a BIN price that I'm happy with for the items but beware that it can be very hard to get insurance on jewelry when shipping (ie. Post office won't cover it). I'd be tempted if they are high value items to put pick up only and see how you do. To that end, Gumtree has worked very well for me for large items and I think it may be worth posting your items with photos there for sale. The only downside is that you'll only get locals looking and you have to meet them when they want to come and check it out. (Some no shows do happen which is a pain.)
Good luck with your sales,
Slipper.
Hi Slipper
Just wanted to thank you for your advice - I will do some more research and I will let you know how I get on.
I do have loads of other stuff to put onto Ebay (this will be my first time - I'm a virgin Ebayer) and am looking forward to seeing how things pan out.
Once again, many thanks.
Kind regards

HELP!!!
I've not dealt much with ebay but decided to put on some things on the free listing. I listed them all for 10 days & 1 sold (yippee) but I have had a message from a 'watcher' saying they couldn't get to a pc to bid for 1 item before it closed & would I be relisting.
I'm not sure what to do - I feel they had 10 days to make a bid so could have done so. I'm tempted to relist for another 10 days just to make a point or am I being Mrs Grumpy?

I hate it when people do that - don't they realise you have to pay a fee to relist?!0 -
Welldone mrscmr and tmd.
I had lots of watchers & in the end some bidders... payments are a little slow. I think I started a lot of my items too high! But I live & learn.... I done really want to start them at 99p as I think I would be gutted if they went for only 99p !!!!!
So do I wait for the next free listing day ! and just list my bits & pieces for 99p ????

Hi GB, I'm not even looking at how much things are costing to relist, I'm just relisting them as I need to clear the clutter! So I am listing some items for more than 99p but most for 99p.
I am so proud that in a week my house contains 22 less items :rotfl:Mortgage start September 2015 £90000 MFiT #060
