"Research" calls since moving to Primus

Hi folks, as per the title, recently moved my home phone from BT to Primus.
Today I have received two calls for "the gentleman of the house" by Indian accented callers saying they are from the national research centre (or something like that).... and would I mind answering a few questions....... After a rant at her never to call me again and to remove my number from their database they hung up on me........
When I was with BT I was ex-directory and I am also registered with the TPS....
Has anyone else had these calls recently, especially after moving to Primus?

My wife took a call like that yesterday on our BT line.
They hung up when she demanded to know where they'd got our number from.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
I've had one yesterday and one today,an Indian "gent" asking to speak to my wife. When I said she was unavailable,he asked me if I would mind answering some questions......he then got the dialling tone!!!0

I had a call today from the same company using the same words "am I speaking to the gentleman of the house" but I'm on Virgin Media, so I don't think the phone provider is relevant.
They helpfully said at the outset that I would receive further calls from companies I may be interested in based on my answers, at which point I said "so this is a marketing call" - she said "it isn't a marketing..." and the line went dead.0
