Missing drivers

Hi I had reformat a Packard bell imedia 1418 and have lost the recovery partition. Device manager says missing vga and multimedia or audio controller drivers are missing. Im clueless how to get them?

Is there such a thing as a freeware driver finder?

Any ideas?

I see yes, how do ifind which "PT" i have as there are over 14 listed and the PC was given to us 3 rd hand so we have no idea of when it was bought?

If windows update has not got them, you can install and run speccy, make a note of the system details then uninstall it if you prefer

Packard bell have a list of legacy drivers by year of production

If you click start, right click my computer, click properties, click device manager, click the + next to the items with missing drivers, then you can search for the drivers from the manufacturer's sites
