Hi folks,
We've compiled a new 'End of year 2010' quiz to test your MoneySaving skills. We're still tweaking a few things, but it should be almost ready and we'd really appreciate it if you could spend 5 minutes testing it out for us.
Please reply here if you notice any problems.

I think question 7 is incorrect - you don't state if the journey is in peak period (July and August), but more importantly the online check-in fee has been increased to £6. So the fees would be potentially £208 or £248 depending if peak or not. How ridiculous!
EDIT: Unable to add links for some reason, so adjust the following text to see the sources.

Sorry to be nit picky about the train question....
You don't actually say it's a reduced price advance purchase ticket, in which case your answer could be correct. But if it's a walk on ticket, you could get off early, as a "break of journey" which is permitted under the Anytime and Off-Peak ticket types. And yes, before anyone asks, you can break the outward portion of tickets just the same as return portions.4Kwp Solar, Lux 3.6kw inverter, 2*Pylontech 3000C batteries.

Must save time as well as money!0 -
It is a return flight for 4 people, hence 8 x each fee.0

Can anyone show me the working for the APR question?
I did 1.15 to the power 52 giving 1,433......what did I do wrong?0 -
Question 1 is misleading - it does not correctly explain the DSR position on return costs.
Question 5 is also not clear - see gradgrind's explanation above.
Question 7 is wrong - the online checkin fee is £6 per sector.Gone ... or have I?0 -
Hi folks,
Thanks for your feedback, we've tweaked a couple of those questions.

There's several dodgy questions in that quiz. I can't remember them all now there were so many but to give a couple of examples:
A £3 pint on a loan of £20 is 15% interest unless you're giving him another pint week after week after week. If you only buy him one pint, that's all you've paid for the whole year, so the 'annual' bit is irrelevant.
How can the fees for the flight question be more than what they've paid in total? That would mean that if you exclude the fees, they'd be getting paid to go on the flight.0 -
I got 14
I put all the above for linking credit files & didn't know about VAT on lady products!
