Yeah but we didnt have a choice as ticketweb cancelled our orders for the Carling Academy concert cause they sold too many and promised us SECC tickets at the same price then ticketmaster sent a confirmation email for the new order with their excessive charges included. Ticketmaster own ticketweb too so you would think they would charge the same!

i replied to the email and heard nothing

I've had several lengthy conversations with Ticketweb/Ticketmaster representatives. What I've got from them so far is:

    * Approximately 550 tickets were "over-sold" for the Glasgow Carling Academy show
    * Ticketweb/master are contacting people to update them on it, but it seems to be taking ages

I've had one e-mail to confirm the SECC tickets I've requested, but I ordered two sets... I'm waiting on the second set. Any other moneysavers affected, please post your findings here!

  • replied on Saturday asking for my 4 from ticketweb and got an email back from ticketmaster today saying all done and Ive now got 4 for the SECC show from them instead (albeit with £6 extra charges)

There will be tickets available to the UK tour in the coming months, always happens with Arena tours. Only problem is it probably won't be advertised and they will go quick. Keep checking seetickets and Ticketmaster every day.

I also can't now find the ****** email confirmation no matter how much I search my email inbox. Anyone give me a clue as to the heading so I can put that in the search. TIA!

it was from Ticketweb Customer Services (Manchester) <customer.services@ticketweb.co.uk>

On Tuesday 31 October, the TicketWeb system incorrectly released for sale a number of tickets for the sold out Killers concert on 22 November at the Carling Academy Glasgow. As a result unfortunately your booking cannot be honoured, and we have refunded your card payment in full.

We appreciate this is very disappointing for you and we would like to sincerely apologise for the inconvenience. However, we have now secured tickets for the Killers concert at the SECC Glasgow on 22 February 2007, for which you will be able to purchase a maximum of 4 tickets in accordance with the stated ticket limit for the event. The price of the tickets for the SECC concert is £26.50 but you will be able to purchase these tickets at your original purchase price of £22.50 each, plus booking fee. These tickets are reserved for you to purchase until Tuesday 21 November.

If you would like to purchase these tickets please reply to this email with confirmation by that date. Please include your original booking confirmation and the last three digits of your security number on the back of the card you made the purchase with. Once we have received your confirmation, we will process your booking as soon as possible.

Once again, TicketWeb would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused, and we would like to assure you that this matter is being thoroughly investigated, and although errors are rare, every precaution is being taken to avoid a re-occurrence.

    Kind Regards
