new sony camera came with a 256Mb memory stick and PSP came with a 32mb memory stick. linking to computer through a card reader on my printer via a multi card converter.
the printer (and computer) "sees" the smaller memory stick but keeps asking me to insert a card when I put the larger memory stick in. !!!!!!
computer is a few years old now, if that could explain it. wanted to link this way as the USB ports are not 2.0.
Very grateful for any ideas.

If the printer/built in card reader isn't recognising the larger 256 mb card, is it possible that the printer has a limit to how big a card it can accept? What make and model is it? Sure that can't be the case though!
I take it that the 256 card works perfectly in the camera, and you can take and view photos on it succesfully? CAn you test it on a friends/colleagues machine/card reader/camera...?
