Nasty scratch on panel on side of door

    Just to add to my above post.

    As the trim has to come off anyway, I think id be quite happy to drill into that panel and pull the dent out "old school", then paint/fill the hole before applying the new trim.

    The folded panel under it looks dented to me, as well as above the door strip close to the door join, but it could be the reflections in the photograph.

    Certainly the rear rubbing strip is marked.

    Do you really think the OP is up to that?

    No offense, but if you need to ask if a door trim is part of the door it's best to take it to someone in the know.:(

  • Someone mentioned a bodyshop would order the door moulding, paint it and fit it for much less than £100.. Might try that though need to make sure it's not dented first which they can check...

    I would take it to a local body repair specialist and ask them for a quote.
