Well today has been a strange day. Had a disturbed night due to DD waking at 4am & deciding she was not tired & was not going to go to sleep again!!! She finally went off around 5am & then we I was up at 7.30!!! Have felt exhausted & pretty rubbish all day. Normally I'm very much a morning person but not today!! :rotfl:
Haven't achieved too much, tidied our bedroom (again - very much the dumping ground!) & have had a NSD but that's it. I'm hoping tomorrow will be a bit easier - am wondering if stopping eating chocolates is making me feel rubbish - have had a bit of a nagging headache over the last few days (definitely not alcohol related!!)
So tomorrow's plan:
To eat 3 meals & only fruit for snacks
To go for a run in the morning, before I have the chance to talk myself out of it!!! Have an app on my phone (couch to 5k or something similar)
To have a LSD - got to get contact lens solutions but hopefully that's all
To take down the tree!!
Weekly home blessing (Flylady) & 15 mins zone work

Hi Brummiebabe - congrats on being debt free! :jWhat a fantastic start to the new year! Make sure you keep up with the MSE ways though
2019 will be my year!!0 -
Will do Kayleighpea!!! Am hoping to save £50+ per month into my ISA & save/use any extra for house improvements. Our kitchen blinds are falling apart & we don't have any blinds in the bathroom/upstairs landing - so this is likely to be one of the first things we save for!!!
So as to today's progress:
Been for a run - nearly killed me:rotfl:
Been to Asda as contact lens solution is £2 cheaper than anywhere else
Spent more than intended:o but had to get bits for packed lunches & a few other essentials
Tree not down yet - that's my next task!!! Can then do my Flylady bits!!!
Hope you're all enjoying the bank holiday....back to normal tomorrow - don't quite know how I'll manage getting up at 6am!!!!!20p Saver Club #33 60p/£100

Yay tree down!!! House looking very bare! Living room is nice & tidy though (for now....doesn't last long with my lot!!). Have done some of the weekly home blessing so will finish in the week, spent 15 mins in this week's Flylady zone.....no energy to do any more now.
Going to have an early night tonight...am shattered again!!20p Saver Club #33 60p/£100

Prepare for work on Tuesday:( - to do in a minute
All in all am fairly happy with what I've done today! Was a bit stupid this morning and went for a run straight after I got up, no drink/food - so felt rough when I got back - lesson learned I think!
Am at work tomorrow (have I mentionned that:rotfl:) so should be a NSD! :jTake a packed lunch (tuna pitta bread tomorrow) & am normally so busy I don't get to go any shops during the day. Tea will be from the meal plan (sausages & veg I think.) So, am hoping for NSD No 3!!

Ok so I am up, ready & raring to go (not!!)
Packed lunch is done, have no cash in my purse & don't need to get any petrol, so should be a NSD!!!
Other than getting through the day, have no other real aims for the day - might try & do the ironing later. Am going to go easy today;)20p Saver Club #33 60p/£100

Bit of a mixed day......was up & organised, got to work early, but had some bad news re: a couple of patients over the Christmas period, so this was hard. Does reinforce how lucky you are to be healthy!!
Progres made today:- Had a NSD!!!:T
- Work desk organised, filing done, work inbox cleared:j
- Ironing basket emptied

- Zone work done (Flylady)
- Did a bit more of Weekly Home Blessing (mopped kitchen floor)
- Checked online banking
- Kids all bathed/showered, in bed & asleep!!
- School stuff sorted for tomorrow (thanks to DH:A)

Haven't updated over the last few days...work & home life are back to being very busy. Have done well with my spending, only buying petrol, groceries, DD's dance classes & the tea fund at work.:j
Really want to come in on budget this month but can't see it happening - shopping budget is tight, we'll have to see how it goes !
Weekend is busy with kids' activities & I also met up with some friends yesterday afternoon, so very little has been done in the way of housework. I have a mountain of ironing to tackle & need to give the house a clean - but with DS' football today, am not sure when I'll fit it all in!!!
Hope everyone else is having a more successful weekend than me:rotfl:20p Saver Club #33 60p/£100

Well, am quite pleased with myself....had thought that we wouldn't be able to have a holiday this year but have done some researching online & have booked a week in Somerset at the end of July!!! Decided to go to a holiday park where there would be lots for the kids to do & have decided on a Haven place. Best thing us I went through NHS discounts & got a better deal than the main site was quoting:j - booked a superior caravan for £432!!!!!! Have joined the debt in 100 day challenge to save the money ....but have 2 months water rates free & 1 month council tax free, so can pay a big chunk of it with that!
Kids are desperate to go abroad ....but they'll have to wait for that!! I have no idea how people afford foreign holidays when they've got 3 children!
So it's something to look forward to & aim for over the next few months...

Haven't updated for a while....life just seems so hectic all the time!!
So - to update - major news is that I've got a new car!!:jDecided we just had to get rid of the other one - it was costing us so much to run & with the numerous repairs it always seemed to need! Wish we'd done it months ago!! New car is a smaller engine & cheaper to tax - have not had it a week yet, so am not sure how economical it will be petorl wise (not that any car is economical enough with current petrol prices!!)
Have had the money my parents have given us - some of this has gone on the car, we're also going to get a laptop & get a couple of minor things done on DH's car (repair electirc window & radio) Am also considering using some of it to replace the internal doors in the house - they're currently a dark brown & we hate them!!:rotfl:What this is likely to mean though is that we couldn't pay off the debt in full - not sure how much we'll have left but if it's around £500 then that's manageable!! We've yet to get any quotes/make any final decisions.......
Money wise things are ok - my energy Direct Debit is being reduced by £50 per month!! That's going into an 'entertainment' fund.....to take the kids to watch a few footy matches, go to the cinema etc. I wasn't expecting the reduction at all, so figured I won't miss it!! We're not overdrawn:T, DH has been paid & I'm being paid on Wednesday!! Will then work out my February budget - lots of birthdays coming up (including DS2 who will be 8) so is likely to be an expensive month!
Need to get back to keeping track of my spending - it's amazing how things can begin to slip very easily - I've not kept my spending diary all week:o
Off to bed shortly - haven't stopped all day between housework, DS' football matches, ironing & tidying....
Hope everyone has a good week - will try to check in more often!20p Saver Club #33 60p/£100
