I am trying to get a Sony Portable DVD player (DVP-FX730) to play MP4 and avi files, but I just get a Data Error on the player (either via the USB or disk).
The files play fine on the PC.
I need to test the player with a known good file that is known to play on one of these machines. Could someone please let me know if they have a known good file that they could send to me via email to test.
Thanks

Do you have a manual that tells us what types of files it should play? Sony website is err less than helpful0

Yes I do, and I am seeing a range of file formats that are not supported. I think I have sorted the problem by conveting all files to divx, a pain but it works.0
