Santander...Yet again...advice please

Hi everyone, thanks for all your replies. I called them and asked them for time and location, which they gave to me, like for toogootobetrue, I could well have been in that location at that time, however the locationj they gave was very vague, Manchester PI, they didn't have a clue where that was though, I got put on hold while they had a think about it and got bored after 12mins and hung up.Look up the banks annual report, find out the name of the Chief Executive. Send a letter asking for the time, date, amount and where the money was withdrawn. Also what these "technical problems" where exactly.
So now I think I'll take Dr Syn's advice (thanks) and write to them to express my disappointment in their incompetence and will be asking for full details of the problem, alomg with the exact location, I think I'll also include rb10's advice:If you want to go to the fuss of checking it out, then I think that a copy of a letter from the ATM owner to Santander would be more than sufficient to confirm that it was indeed you who made the withdrawal.
The ATM owner will still have details of your PAN (the 16-digit number on the front of your card), along with the date, time and amount of the withdrawal.
And at the bottom of the letter I will also advise them that I wil shortly be closing my account as I have applied for a Co-op account (providing I get it that is - lol - wil hold off a couple of days on sending it)
I fear that the date will have passed for them to take the money out before I hear back from them though, and im sure that if their previous form is anything to go on my letter won't make the blindest bit of difference
I appreciate the help everyone :beer:0
