has anyone had any first hand experiance of getting 'no medical' life insurance for the over 60s???
would like to hear from anyone who may know the best place to go.
have looked on moneysupermarket.com and it wont give me quote on line. most probably because of my age. i do have medical problems; high blood pressure, diabetes, mild depression and these can all play havoc with premiums paid.
any advice hugely appreciated.

Very few life assurances actually require a medical. Most will require a disclosure of information and depending on that information they will either accept what is said, contact the GP for further information or ask for specific tests. Its only the awful over 50s plans that dont have the underwritten questions but they are really an option of last resort as they are so poor value for money IF you can get an underwritten plan.have looked on moneysupermarket.com and it wont give me quote on line. most probably because of my age.
60 is not a problem. It gets more difficult after 75 but still possible.i do have medical problems; high blood pressure, diabetes, mild depression and these can all play havoc with premiums paid.
high blood pressure is almost expected on over 60s. depression can be a major issue if its clinical. If its event caused then less so. diabetes can be significant.
Have you tried an underwritten life assurance policy or have you just looked at over 50s non underwritten life insurance policies?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). sites like moneysupermarket.com are not really good for this sort of thing as you need to know what you are buying and remember that they only offer a limited panel of providers.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
