    Hi all,

Hope its not to late to join in I am going for a monthly amount of £400, for groceries, cleaning, toiletries etc that for me OH and 3DD. I know its the one area I will overpsend in and really need to keep it tight this year as I am in year two of debt busting but there were times in 2010 where we did so well ,but every now and then when I had a s** moment lets order an Indian and get a bottle of wine whilst we are at it. 2nite its taken 20mins to create a curry from scratch for tom eve tea, this is the way forward.
Kez12 intends to have a frugal 2012 and bust that debt:j there's certainly plenty of it!

Wow! Now that was a marathon read! :D

Just popping on to say hi really. You're all doing incredibly well and being your usual supportive and inspirational selves! Some superb recipes being posted, thank you. :T

SeductiveSmile, I meant to say some time ago that I hope you are recovering from the car accident. Sending some hugs and hope they help. :grouphug:

ETA: My MrT Express receipt from 16/12/10 has A by the side of 0% VAT items and according to the bottom of it C denotes 17.5%. Milk, bread flour, bread, bananas, tortelloni, apples were all zero rated. My MrS home delivery from this week has nothing to note VAT. Neither does my Stokes one from 23/12/10. And Coop one from 23/12/10 doesn't either. HTH.

I had some posts marked for multi quote but I think they got lost a few pages back! :rotfl:

    NSD again today for us.

Ok, I'm off, keep up the fantastic money saving and good luck all.

    Take care,

Still, I'm nearly halfway through my budget with 23 days to go. This is gonna be tough, but I'm determined!!

A successful trip to Mr S. Took advantage of their 1/2 meat offers and now have a freezer bulging with Chicken, Pork, Lamb and Mince:D Stocked up on alot of store cupboard essentials, bread and whoopsies, My OH was very impressed with the amount I got for £59 and there is certainly enough to see us through the next 2 weeks! My poor fridge, freezer and cupboards are groaning:rotfl:

Keybilly do you preheat your thermos before you put coffee in? I never knew you had to do this nad got annoyed my tea was never warm!

Yes I did reheat the mug this morning and the coffee was still lukewarm. Only had one £1.50 cappacino today this was a huge achievement as I was soo tired today. Surprised at how much money I spent today at Uni. Didn't take a packed lunch which is key - had a Jacket Pot for £2.50 and a small punnet of grapes for £1.50 (bit extortionate, silly buy but I was starving). Had a small evening dinner that should have been lunch. Definitely taking a packed lunch next week with extra supplies for breaks.

Hi this is only my second ever post so appologies - just started a frugal challenge also today. I would like to join the grocery challenge - however there seems to be a lot of do's and donts with regards to posting on here! Can some one just sum up what i need to write on here please. I havent bought any food or actually anything really for many days since Christmas as we literally have no money this month. I am owed alot of wages that are yet to appear. So do they count as no spend days etc?
Some guidence would be greatly appreciated!!!!

my budget is trying to reduce from £395 monthly to £155 monthly
Frugal living challenge - need to revisit its been.a while !! Need to reduce our debts!!
