hi my perents are trying to sale there bungalow been living in for 30 plus years when moved in thay had to have a water pipe put in , so it was done ,now 30 odd years on thay are selling but been told that thay need to sort out the water pipe ,that runs over rail track bridge can any one help in finding any info on this please as my mum is very ill and needs to move a s a p

Solicitor should be able to provide an indemnity policy to cover the eventuality of Railtrack or whoever taking action in the future.0 -
i think my mum said the lady who was intrested her soliciter and survayer um just need to find a soliciter who will do this this thay live near backwell in north somerset can anyone help me with any please0

So your mum has found a buyer? And they've appointed a solicitor? And a surveyor? But your mum is handling the sale herself? Unless she understands conveyancing better than you, I'd advise against this. Appoint a solicitor!
Use a recommendation or trot into town to the local firm and ask for a quote.0 -
she has her house up for sale with a estate agent someone when to look and said yes , all paperwork ready to sign then this came up but all i need to do is find a solicter to do this type of insuranceto cover my mum ..0

there is no legal issue, so ignore and tell the buyers to use their common sense and move onMy posts are just my opinions and are not offered as legal advice - though I consider them darn fine opinions none the less.:cool2:
