Central Heating Room Thermostat not working

Hi,

Hoping someone can help / advise.

It appears my room thermostat situated in hallway is not working correctly, does not matter what the temperture of hallway is always clicks below 10 in the same place at all times. However when it clicks at this point it will shut down the boiler - so that part appears to be working.

Any suggestions would be appreciated, is this a common problem with room thermostat's, is there a quick fix or should I just buy a replacement and are these easy enough to install.

Thanks,

Dave

I'd get a replacement, depending on the model the wires can be carrying mains voltage so be sure to isolate before starting work. If you can get an exact model to replace, often the bit with all the works often just clips over the base frame.
