Am I in the wrong section for this? If so apologies webmaster!
Just wanted some advice on starting an online business. Not a popular time for it but its gambling based and will only be available to people in the uk. I wanted to know the laws and any licences needed for such a business.
Anyone any advice ... would be muchos appreciated!

I've just started entering the competitions (July 07). When I win I'll update this signature. Look on the bright side, I shouldn't have to update it very often.

Gambling is a very complicated area of law and you really do need much more expert advice than you are likely to be able to get from here. Your first port of call may be best to go to (online or physically) your local business link that does have a fair amount of free advice and expertees. Beyond that you will need to look at the gambling and gaming commissioners website and would be best advised to get early engagement of a commercial solicitor.All posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers
