Hi
Seems to be getting worse. It looks like a tartan patern in grey and green. Its quite frequent and sometimes the screen goes white. I have also heard a fizzing noise comming from the laptop and thought something inside may be loose.
Any advise would be appreciated
Many thanks

Cherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.

If you give the make and model of the laptop somebody more Tech Savy will probably be able to find a diagram showing how to access the cables etc and reseat and loose ones. As I am guessing by the fact you are asking you have no experience taking apart a laptop.
That said if it is in Warranty speak to them first!0 -
Display problems like this are almost always caused by the ribbon cable from the screen to the motherboard coming loose or becoming worn. If you're comfortable with a screwdriver, visit the manufacturer's website and see if the service manual for your machine is available. Otherwise, pay a visit to your friendly neighbourhood repair shop but be ready to stump up about £25-30.I'm dreaming of a white Christmas.
But, if the white runs out, I'll drink the red.0
