    Hi all,

thanks for the kind thoughts it makes it a tad worse that im on maternity leave but my job is also at risk of redundancy so its not as if I can even apply for another job now considering by the time I start I will be leaving to give birth lol.

I did get a CC yesterday which is really going to help - as most people know I am trying to sort out the debt mountain OH created before he met me so I applied for a CC and was accepted (for first time!!!) they gave me a limit of 2300 which means I can now balance transfer oh's evil virgin card over and save over 800 in interest this year alone!!! obviously he wil be paying it (im not THAT kind lol) but at least he'll be making a dent in the actual debt rather than just paying off interest. also will reduce our minimum payments for this year which is when we will need it most.

So although there are some trying times ahead I feel we are starting 2011 quite optimistically.

as my start to the challenge today I have had a cracking start.......

£5 voucher from ebay - now used for a birthday present for sister in law thus saving me the fiver out of our bday saving pot
    £3 from p!nec0ne
    £6.23 from cashback site

    YAY!!!!
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

I'm starting off with 55p bank interest this morning. Gotta start somewhere
  • What a great start to the challenge!! My mum gave me a £10 boots voucher! She was given it but wont use it and thought I could for nappies etc! Also just collected up all the lotto scratch cards we have lying around and they all came to £15!!! Though am only going to count the "cash" that I can pay towards my two debts to clear this month, so £15 for us today!!

Happy New year everyone :) First day of a new year and new start for me to attack credit cards :)
Best thing for me was that towards the end of last year 3 did not get renewed so I can't be tempted to use them ! I kept them incase !
Anyway Quidco have been very nice and paid me £3.44 so I'm off the £0 mark today :)
