Hi everyone, happy new year! :D

I'd like to try and save up £1000 by the end of April... If I do This every quarter this year it will be a brill achievement for me :)

I already have £250 saved in my savings account, so I will count this in my signature but as it's actually a bit of a rolling thing for the new few months it's still nice and challenging!

The money is going towards a family holiday in the Summer so if I can save £1000 that would be a brilliant start! :D

Feel all motivated, good start for the new year! Let's see how long it lasts!!

  • Hi, i would just like to say hello to all. have browsed for a while but plucked up courage to join and post. I really need this and it is insprirational as to how we can actually save. Have a quite a bit of debt and if I can save £2 a day it would be a start. Thanks for your posts!

  • What a great start to the challenge!! My mum gave me a £10 boots voucher! She was given it but wont use it and thought I could for nappies etc! Also just collected up all the lotto scratch cards we have lying around and they all came to £15!!! Though am only going to count the "cash" that I can pay towards my two debts to clear this month, so £15 for us today!!

Taking control - I count the vouchers when I spend them, as I then put the cash for them into the account - for example we are using tesco clubcard cinema tickets I got so I am banking half the cost of the cinema tickets as budget saving. You would of had to buy nappies so you could put the cash towards your debt when you spend the voucher.

    Hope that makes sense?

Hoping to stick to the challenge this year!!

    Hello everyone.

I haven't made any money yet but I have listed two items on eb*y (not quite as painful as I remember) and plan to do more tomorrow. I have also listed a limited edition CD box set on Amaz*n which I hope will bring in a good chunk.:rotfl:I feel up for the challenge now and need to keep the momentum going with selling things so I may go through my stash of fabrics to see what I will never use and sell that too.

    Fingers crossed.

    Good luck all.
