I think that you can use them in lots of high street shops.. doesn't always have to be for lunch!

Hope I'm not to late to jump in (even though I only saw this thread for the first time last night!!).

Before seeing this and reading other parts of the forum, I realised my spending habits had got out of hand (lots of student, divorce and general "wanna please the kids" debt) and my phobia of checking my bank balance was a phobia I really couldn't afford!! Needless to say, I'm a changed woman and having read so many of your experiences, am feeling incredibly inpsired! I have set myself some ridiculous targets; I love a challenge ;o) and have made a dent in my £10 a day for Jan by getting rid of some eyebrow raising items from around the home! Am up to £125 on Ebay sales and am waiting for some major items to sell :o)

It's so exciting walking round your home and assessing what you are and aren't attached too!! What you don't and do need. How do you decide what should and shouldn't go? I'm trying to apply some general rules but am struggling!

Look forward to reading lots more on the forum.

My general rule is simply "have I used it in the last year and if I have, will I use it again?"
    Eg: a coat.
Did I wear it in the last year? Yes.
Will I wear it again? No-too small. SELL!!

If I start to modify the original question of "have I used it in the last year?" I find that I can make excuses for items that I dont need but want. :D

    Hi and welcome MooBag.

I have been doing a major declutter since beginning of Jan, and have a huge stockpile of things to photograph and list on ebay, netmums, vistastreet and anywhere else I think it may sell.
