    Am I missing something?

If you archive the statements you receive ....... then the default view should only show you the new / unread ones?
If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !

    No, that's not my point.

I appear to have the new look Halifax online banking (presumably a throw back to my staff days has given me an early view on this "improvement").

The old look, which most customers have, keeps statements for multiple accounts in the same place.

The new look, which I believe gets launched for all next month, keeps the statements within the screen for the individual account.

My issue is that I get an email saying that a statement has been sent. In the old world I could simply go to "statements" and it would be there. In the new world I have to trawl through each individual account until I find the one that the statement has been issued on.

Not the end of the world, but I do have far too many accounts with them and never know which statement is due.

But hey, at least I can see the interest rates on my savings account ;) .

Aaaah ....... I thought you'd been at the Christmas booze for too long.

Hadn't appreciated (with my old, but sensible, 'view') that you'd been converted to the new and improved screens! I gather they'll get around your problem ...... by not sending you an Email from January! :p
        • The format of your paper-free statements will change. If you want to keep any of your existing statements in the current style, please print them off by the end of 2010.
        • From January 2011 we will no longer send emails to let you know when new statements are available to view online. The new online statement should always be up to date with your latest transactions, so there is no fixed statement period.
        • You'll still be able to print paper copies of your statements and download them into money management tools
