Hi - on the Winter Wonderland website, it states:
"SPECIAL OFFER! The VINCI Park Mayfair Car Park (Achilles Way, Park Lane W1K 1AB) outside the congestion zone and a short stroll from Winter Wonderland is offering exclusive rates to Winter Wonderland visitors - 6 hours for just £9 and £1.50 for each hour after! Mention the promotion at the parking office prior to paying. For further information and to pre book your parking go to http://www.vincipark.co.uk/customer-parking/mayfair.html and enter Winter2010 as the promo code to receive 10% off exclusive online rates. "
We are visiting London tomorrow (Wed) and staying in Thameside. As we are just intending to visit Winder Wonderland tomorrow afternoon/eve and not anywhere else, we thought we would drive there and park, rather than paying £28 for Day travelcards which wouldn't really get used.
I just wondered if anyone had actually taken advantage of the Vinci parking offer or whether they had any issues once they got there etc.?
As a back up, we would have to find an on-street parking bay for a couple of hours till 6.30pm as after this, parking is free but this isn't ideal.
Thanks - Karen

If your driving from Thameside make sure you plan your route carefully to avoid the congestion zone, it is possible to avoid it as there are through roads that are exempt from the c charge0

Hi - thanks for the adviceI had already got it all planned when I came across this on the tfl website...
"Congestion Charge
You don't have to pay the Congestion Charge from Saturday 25 December until Monday 3 January inclusive."
I could have saved myself a lot of hassle if I'd have known this earlier but perhaps it will come in handy for another MSE user

Hi all,
Thought I would add a quick update to this thread as I have noticed the VINCI Park Mayfair car park are offering some great deals for Winter Wonderland parking again! I used them last year and was great for me and the family as it was only 5 minutes walk away from Winter Wonderland in the park so was really helpful to get back to the car when the kids were tierd after all the fun!
They are offering 20% off weekend and weekday rates if you book online with code Winter12 which means weekday parking is only £23 all day and weekend parking is £9.60 Saturdays and £8 Sundays.
I think they are also offering their drive in rate which is £10 for 6 hours parking.
I have noticed that Q Park seem to be advertising a deal on the actual winter wonderland site but its £24 all day or £20 for morning or evening which isnt a great deal and their car park is further away...
Thanks all!
Also no congestions charge for this car park either so great value for money!0 -
We had a big success using the Vinci car park today for Winter Wonderland.
We were bracing ourselves for a whopping £30 for 6 hours of stay. But when we put our chip into the pay machine, it tried to charge us £33.50. It looked like the machine was incorrectly adding VAT to the price list that was listed as "inc VAT", and the hours used wasn't being calculated right anyway.
When I went into the pay office to query this, they asked if we'd been to Winter Wonderland. When we said yes, they cut it down to something like £13.50 instead! I think it's £12 for 6 hours and £1.50 per hour for any extra over that - something in that ballpark anyway.
Naturally we were delighted and I shut up about the VAT thing! So DON'T pay through the machine - go to the office and quote Winter Wonderland Offer and save big money!0 -
Is it just me or is it a bit odd two new people have registered just to mention their great deal on this? Suspicious, me.....0

I used them again this year (last weeked on the 8th to be exact) to those who think they are 'touting for business', just a heads up to all those that are going it is a great deal and me and the kids only had a five minute stroll from the car rather than a freezing cold tube journey which is packed for christmas shopping this time of year!
We paid £9.60 for Saturday parking which was great as we spent about 6 hours at Winter Wonderland!
Way to many skeptics on this site when you are just giving helpful advice!0 -

I did think it sounded like a good offer, but 2 of your 3 posts are to do with this and another new person commenting too.
Having used MSE for a while you get to recognise patterns.0
