student deal on laptop?

does anyone know if i can get a better deal on a laptop because im a student? ive been looking around and there are some good deals about im looking for about 3/4 gb ram 250gb + harddrive and think id prefer duel processing though im just looking for a fairly fast laptop. Its mainly for uni work but i graduate next year so also for work. anyone seen any stuendt discounts? ive seen dell but it doesnt seem that good max budget £400 thanks

thanks ive been trying to get on their website for 3 days but it looks like its down... i bought 2007 word for the laptop im on just now so i would preferably use it on this comp to but im unsure if i was only allowed that one for this computer
